After this happened, I'm really starting to think this game is unpleasantly designed. And trust me, I used some stronger language when it happened, but I'm keeping it G rated here.
After 4 days of trying to beat level 53, I finally got a winning combination. Only to lose the game because I missed the target score by 100 points!
I'm thinking I should give up now. I play games for fun and this game is frustating me everytime I play it.
When my temper has cooled somewhat, I'm thinking of posting what just happened as a review to give customers an idea of how unpleasant the game is. If they will allow a negative review to be published.
Realistically, I think this game was not designed to give fun, but make money through it's ingame store. I think the designer has purposefully made it this hard to force you to pay2win. In case you're unfamiliar with the term, it means you pay the company to win the game or gain an advantage other players do not get.

Okay. I am currently stuck on Level 35 on that game, and there are some levels that are really hard to pass (takes me about twenty lives usually to do so). But, since I kind of can't, I don't pay for the power-ups or anything like that. Bt I agree, it is a bit hard. Like, for example, I was on Level 32 (the first one where you had to remove all the frost from the board), and I came so close at one point (I actually finished removing all of the frost), but then t threw the target score thing in my face. It was frustrating. And the game itself is a little frustrating, but I like to play it anyways, and I'm pretty much the only one who does play it, because my siblings can't pass the level I'm on. But I say don't give up, becaude you may soon be able to pass it. (Yeah, I'm kind of optimistic. Sorry.). But I don't think they're necessarily being "unfair". Just making it more challenging, is how I see it. But, that may just be me.

Level 53 is one of those frost removal levels.
If I beat the target score, then I haven't removed the frost.
And you only have a limited amount of moves, so if you use them all up, game over, life lost, start again.
Which is why a winning combination for this level was rare. I doubt I'll get another combo like that.
Still working on this game, up to level 72 now. But I think this one is truly cruel!
I have 45 moves to remove 3x99 (purple, red blue) objects, 297 in total. The game starts out with only 8 squares with objects, the rest of the screen is filled with ice. Unless you were to get explosive combos all the time (it removes most of the objects on the screen), I don't see this one as solvable!

I'm still plugging away at it.
I'm up around level 84 I think. It's a timer level and I really dislike those because I don't get time to think about the combinations I want to make.
Also, I'm finding those growing ice patches annoying.
Judging from what you said, there is worse to come.

as much as i like Hans, it's annoying that he rolls his eyes and then shrugs his shoulders when you lose... don't you roll your eyes at me... I should try to beat the one i'm stuck on.

I haven't played the game in a long time because it's on my brother's tablet, and he doesn't like me using it a lot. But I agree with you, buckmana: I don't like those timer levels either. They always made me nervous and make small combos So hard.

Yeah, I mess up so much on timed levels it takes me several times as long to get through them as an untimed level.
I've also discovered those puzzles with the growing ice are almost as bad, since if I don't clear the ice fast enough, it takes over the entire gamegrid and I lose! I'm at a particularly bad one now, level 129. The ice takes over half the grid in 10-20 seconds! The objective is to drop all 4 objects (crowns and sphere) to the bottom. As the ice keeps renewing everytime I chip it away, I have not succeeded yet.
The cynic in me says this level was designed to force you to buy those powerups, since the only way to get rid of all the ice completely so you can actually play this game is to use 8 of Olaf's hot chocolate powerups (which you have to purchase!). If you are curious, that's the entire width of the gameboard in this level.

when you play each day you get a award for playing so you can earn power ups. I haven't ttried too hard to beat the one I'm stuck on.. I still hate those wolfs

I never found those powerups particularly useful.
Also, I never get them! I always get an extra life instead. And that doesn't last very long.

I thought I had gotten past the wolves (level 133), but now they are back! And cheating apparently!
The bottom of the board is completely blocked out by ice blocks you have to break. And the wolves stay down there, so you use up most of your allocated moves removing the ice!
When you finally break through, the wolves then start avoiding the edges, so you use up more moves trying to catch them.
End result, 2 wolves out of 11.
I'm thinking this is another store gambit trick, buy the hot chocolate to melt all the ice or you won't be able to pass.

Candy Crush is just like this, that's why i quite playing that. I plan to save the power ups I earn. for when i really need them
sometimes it's by luck, but it helps if you are good at these kind of games, which i'am not

Here is the latest level (139) that is bugging me: The drop items keep hitting those ice blocks. And if they somehow manage to get near the bottom, the freezing blocks are expanding until they're in the way as well. By the time I've cleared all the ice blocks, the frozen crystals and the freezing blocks, I've used up all my moves and there's none left to finish the puzzle! I think the only way to solve this practically is to use Hot Chocolate to melt all the obstacles, then play the game as normal. Which is why I'm getting cynical about pay2win (it's a game format where you have to pay the game company just to play!), I keep running into these levels where you have to pay to beat them! I've been at this one for a week or more now....... Edit: As soon as I posted this, I beat it. Irony. But I had to use an icepick to get the last piece to drop, none of the combos would have worked before I ran out of moves.
