I have a great disappointment, that I really wish to express. Merida is coming as the next guest star of Season 5 in Once Upon A Time. That is certainly good news I suppose. I, myself, haven't watched the movie, but what my notes are, are these: as I remember, Brave wasn't that much of a hit like Frozen was. No wonder, after all, why they added Elsa first in the OUAT timeline. But. What I have realised from the common OUAT audience, is that the Frozen arc has received terribly negative feedback, ever since it had been announced, which I honestly couldn't understand or justify. On the contrary, Merida has received a great welcome from the OUAT fans. So, I'm asking this: why on earth would there be so much hatred for Elsa, and such great feedback for Merida (which, in my opinion always, is still to strike the Frozen arc out of stubborness). I mean ok, it wasnlt the best tie-in they could give, or the most thoroughly written storyline, but it was decent. I just don't get it. Simply because of the fact that the too-much I say over-hype for Frozen caused a massive hatedom to appear, caused this reaction to the OUAT-Frozen storyline? Because all this hatred cannot just be explained at all, and no, the fact that the storyline was poor is not an explanation, since Ingrid made an awesome villain. Like, do these guys want everything to be dark and surrounded by death? Jesus.
In my opinion, another movie tie-in from the Disney Cinematic Universe wouldn't really be my greatest joy at all. They should just stick to the original fairy tales.
